Inspired by Frida Kahlo and her love for bold colors, our signature pouch is the coming together of many traditional values. Made of palmyra leaves that are woven with a heritage braided technique from Flores Indonesia, it keeps your cosmetics, charger and other items safe wherever you go.

Braided Halfmoon pouch is our signature pouch, handwoven from palmyra leaves by our women artisans in Flores. With a unique braided technique, this stylish two-tone pouch helps organize your touch-up must-haves, charger, and other small items.
Keep the weaving dry. Do not store it in humid conditions to prevent the product from changing color. If the product is exposed to water, clean it using a soft cloth and dry it in the sun, until it is dry. Don’t fill with items that are heavy or too full that can change the shape of the webbing. Keep away from sources of ignition or heat for long periods of time.
Social Impact
Weaving, although a cultural heritage and old practice in the local Flores community, has been mainly limited to household use only. Similarly, weaving can also be traced back to decades-old family tradition in Kalimantan, Papua & many parts of Indonesia. These dying handcraft arts are replaced by other activities of higher perceived value and practicality.Â
As Du Anyam embarked on a journey to advocate women empowerment, we have been able to find and reconnect with many Nusantara legacies. Through several culture-promoting strategies such as weaving curriculum for high school students, year-round training for weavers, we hope to not only preserve but also revive the priceless arts of Indonesia.
