It’s been four years since the #LOCALSATURBANQUARTER project was established by Urban Quarter in 2016. As part of Urban Quarter’s vision, it is committed to working with local brands that supply heritage handcrafted goods by local artisans.

This spring we introduce one of the new additions to the family, the Iboe Room Divider: A tribute to the mothers, the women, the weavers from Flores, East Nusa Tenggara. This room divider is a special collaboration of Du Anyam and Urban Quarter. Made with sturdy solid teak wood frame and embroidered in hand weaved natural Palmyra leaves, the Iboe Room Divider is an elegant solution for small to large spaces. It’s the perfect decorative stand alone and decorative backdrop all in one.

At Du Anyam, we are highly inspired by the culture in the eastern part of Indonesia, specifically from Flores, East Nusa Tenggara. Du Anyam works closely with talented women artisans in Flores who create wicker products with the most authentic craftsmanship.

Weaving crafts resonates with weaving a better future. Du Anyam now sells its products at Urban Quarter, ranging from traditional baskets from Flores like Sobe Teak, versatile trays made from Palmyra leaves like The Keleka Tray MotifToba Tray that can be used as fruit or snack basket, to a multi-functional boxes that is hand-weaved from lontar leaves called Lepa Box.

Each craft resonates a different story of the crafter. And every product is hand-weaved by women with their own tales. We’re not only weaving them for you, but also for a better future! Shop now and let’s weave a better future for Indonesia.
