Earlier this year, Du Anyam participated in the Ambiente Worldwide Home Decor Fair in Frankfurt, Germany. Ambiente, the world’s leading international fair for home decor, showcases a wide variety of home decor styles and products. This year, Du Anyam displayed an exceptional lineup of home decor pieces, including beautiful handwoven baskets and wall art.

More importantly, we were able to demonstrate our commitment to preserving and protecting the environment, through our sustainable, all-natural, and raw-material based decor. With increasing environmental pressures causing disastrous effects of climate change worldwide, we believe that the best way to proceed forward is to focus on implementing sustainability wherever we can. Thus, demonstrated at Ambiente that sustainable decor can and will be the future. With our locally sourced materials used for our baskets, we have lowered our carbon footprint while still creating highly functional, unique, and stylish pieces perfect for any home or office. We encourage everyone to keep sustainability in mind when shopping for decor pieces- look for items made from natural fibers ie. palm leaf, seagrass, cork, bamboo, or even recycled materials in order to minimize your carbon footprint as well!

Due to its innovative, cultural, and environmentally-friendly pieces, Du Anyam’s Noken and Sobe Asap baskets were selected in Ambiente’s 2023 Home Decor Trends. We believe that this demonstrates that furniture and decor like ours- ones that mesh deeply traditional patterns and techniques with sustainable and beautiful creation can be a viable and successful solution on the market. Through promoting our traditional Eastern Indonesian weaving practices and culture in the Ambiente fair,  we are proud to spread the importance of choosing sustainable home decor, demonstrating we can individually take steps to protect the environment.
