The Story of Ibu Ima : Natural-Born Teacher
Ibu Ima spent 12 years of her life as a dedicated kindergarten teacher before joining as a weaver at Du Anyam. Despite this change, her passion for teaching remained strong. Ibu Ima soon took on a role as our field facilitator, giving weaving training to other women weavers in East Flores.
Always looking to grow and improve, Ibu Ima is one to rise to the challenge and go out of her comfort zone. She became the first Du Anyam weaver to conduct training in Pekanbaru-Riau, a rare feat for someone coming from Flores. With your support, there’s no doubt that Ibu Ima and other weavers will go even further, and achieve even more.
