A little story behind the scene, the artisans have to unweaved and reweaved the weaving, in order to enact the tanduk or horn-shaped features of the box. That is why; this particular weaving container is one-of-a-kind, since not all weavers possess such skill to make this special box.

Keep the weaving dry. Do not store it in humid conditions to prevent the product from changing color. If the product is exposed to water, clean it using a soft cloth and dry it in the sun, until it is dry. Don’t fill with items that are heavy or too full that can change the shape of the webbing. Keep away from sources of ignition or heat for long periods of time.
Social Impact
Access to clean water is still a challenge in rural East Flores. Some have to travel for miles on foot to reach water wells, while other more “fortunate” villages need to arrange for transporting clean water for basic cooking and bathing. Du Anyam has fundraised 3 water wells and is still continuing to support various Health & Sanitation programs.
As we bring handmade weaving products to the international market, we hope to improve the living conditions of artisans & their families, across +54 rural villages and more.
